Halloween 3D – Too Many Movies?
Halloween 3D is a very discussed and debated topic amongst our society. People are claiming that there have been too many Halloween movies and I disagree.
While there are a lot of Halloween movies; at least those movies were scattered out. how many people that are complaining about the number of Halloween movies were actually alive during the make of the majority? Halloween movies were made in this order in this years:
Halloween: The Night he came Home (1978)
Halloween 2: The Nightmare Isn’t Over (1981)
Halloween 3: Season of the Witch (1986)
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)
Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
Halloween: H20 (1998)
Halloween: Resurrection (2001)
Halloween: Remake (2007)
Halloween 2: Remake (2009)
That is ten movies spread out over a 31 year period. Ironically, one of the movies (part 3) didn’t even have an appearance by Michael Myers, or any other Halloween star for that matter.
Now, lets take the overrated and constantly producing Saw movies. Saw movie writers and directors are currently working on their sixth movie, and have already confirmed their seventh, in a period of six years. That is on average one movie per year. And do you know what’s funny? Saw movies are gruesome. Halloween movies, besides the ones by Rob Zombie, are more along the lines of family horror films.
The star of Saw Jigsaw was killed in the 3rd Saw movie. Yet, at the same time, he has appeared in every movie since then in some way. And people say that Michael Myers can’t die
You have a total of ten movies spread out of over 31 years, and then you have a total of six (coming up on seven) movies spread out over a seven year? Yet the one that at least gives you a break is considered overrated whilst the gory movies with absolutely no plot other than sick sadistic screaming and unnecessary view of internal organs is considered condoned by the views? It makes you wonder what the purpose is being served for consistent constructive criticism given by the views.
When Michael Myers first appeared in 1978, people I’m sure loved the movie. in 1988, his return was amongst the biggest movie of the year; the same goes with 1989. The Halloween H20 movie sold great, so did Zombie movies. this makes me wonder, who is doing all the complaining?
