SPENCER, Okla. — A 14-year-old Spencer boy was arrested after officers said they found him hiding inside Rogers Middle School wearing a Halloween mask.Spencer Police Chief Virgil Green said officers responded to the school near NE 36th and Spencer Road around 12:30 a.m. Thursday after a security alarm sounded. Officers said they searched the building, but found no one until right before they were ready to leave. Hiding inside an office room, officers said they found a 14-year-old boy wearing a mask.The teenager told police he broke into the school with friends, but police said they never found any other suspects. The only thing stolen was a quart of ice cream.Green said the teen was released from juvenile services just hours before and somehow escaped from his parents’ house and broke into the middle school.According to authorities, damage to the school is minmal. Officers said they found some broken glass from a window pried open and a mess caused by melted ice cream.
